I know this might not be the right interpretation. But this gives me peace in so many levels after going through season 4. The wound was deep and it still hurts even though it ended fine.

Loved this season. I don't care what others thought, it was so well done.
Yeah! I dont get why so many people hate it, I thought it was one of the best :D and so many people hate the final episode, but it was such a beautiful one and amazing!
I know! I wasn't blown away at first either but I initially thought it was well done and executed and after watching it the second time I absolutely loved it ♥
Elora Maxwell I think it's moreso because it just didn't feel like Sherlock. The women were simply used or killed off rather than being splendid. Moffat himself said that after Molly said she loved Sherlock she had a shag with another dude and forgot all about it. But Louise (the actor) became pissed and said: "Loving someone after years is not reductive, retrograde, antifeminist or weak. Fight the patriarchy, not me, and read some fucking Chekhov."
To me it didn't have the excitement and cleverness that Sherlock episodes usually have.

Screw everyone else I genuinely thing season 4 was the best, it showed sides to Sherlock we never saw before and the way he began to appreciate everything around him it was beautiful. My favourite line from it is when he's talking to his sister (though he didn't know it at the time) "your life isn't yours so keep your hands off it!" Its such a great show 😂
Alice Chopsticks yep I genuinely don't get the hate for series 4.... sure it had flaws but this show is still absolutely great and series 4 showed lots of excellent character development

I totally agree with the comments before.
Plot wise, season four was kind of a mess, it really went against a lot of what they had built up in the first few seasons, but character wise is a different story. The character development shown in season four is in my opinion extraordinary. Both Sherlock and John experience a lot of emotional turmoil and we see things that we didn’t see before

Never thought in life that I would get attache with a fictional character this much!! I have watched all season in last 10 days. I got emotionally attached with all the characters. it’s incredible to think that Sherlock was called, the WHOLE show, that he was a machine, he wasn’t human, he was incapable of feeling anything, no empathy, compassion, love. Though, throughout the WHOLE show, since the first episode, he showed he had feelings like every other HUMAN BEING. He was just alone. Alone, until Doctor John Amish Watson walked into Shelock’s life, full of love and kindness and bravery… Feeling alone because no one was understaning him. Lacking of his drug…. He was craving the same drug as Sherlock was. Adrenaline. John recognize someone who understood him. Sherlock did too. That’s why their best friends and that’s why Sherlock IS human.
