The Glidori (Showcase)
Glidori (Gli-Door-Ie) are an anthropomorphic species originating from the planet Dearh located within the Emora system.
Species Pros;
Flight; The Glidori are the best flyers in the entire Stellarz Galaxy, their giant leathery wings grant them so much lift that they can easily carry their entire bodies and someone else's in Earth-like environments! And unlike the Yovloi, they can still use their arms mid-flight!
Sensitive Hearing; The Glidori’s large bat-like ears are quite good at picking up quieter and more distant noises than most species!
Species Cons;
Thick Wool Coat; While the Glidori’s natural thick wool coat does protect them from freezing temperatures found on their home planet, it proves to be an annoyance on most worlds that happen to be warmer, and the need to keep it clean and trimmed also proves it to be a time sync. Many Glidori will tend to shave off their entire coat at a time, but many others find that to be ‘throwing away’ their culture.
Clumsy Bodies; Due to their large wings, and hooved hands and feet, the Glidori are generally more clumsy and less fine-tuned in their movements, meaning that they’re more likely to accidentally knock something over or have a harder time fitting through a tight space.
Horns; Similarly to their wool coats, the Glidori’s horns can prove to be quite disadvantageous in many situations, they can be the perfect place for someone to grab onto the Glidori, or get in the way of things, add to that the wide variety of shapes they can grow into making it harder to make things working around them.
The Scale of the Glidori
Adult Glidori are Human sized, the tallest Glidori are nearly the same height as the tallest Humans, and the same with the shortest of the species.
Fun Fact;
The Glidori’s wool coat can be processed similarly to that of sheep! Because of this, and the fact their wool can seemingly grow in any color, their shaved wool is commonly made into things like clothing!
Glidori Blood
Glidori Blood is blue in color. Unlike other species’ blood, Glidori blood appears to not have any notable properties.
Fun Fact;
The Glidori’s fur and wool coat can be in virtually any color! They can even grow in various patterns! (But it is generally rarer for a Glidori to have fur designs than other species like the Koopew.)
The Glidori and Gender
Biologically speaking, the Glidori have very little sexual dimorphism physically visible in their species, meaning that males and females appear, more or less, identical to the untrained eye. On top of this, 1 out of every 7 Glidori is biologically androgynous further breaking the typical gender binary. Despite gender being virtually an unknown to their species until they entered space, many Glidori like to express themselves as one of the genders, even if that just so happens to not match with their biological gender.
Further notes;
Due to gender roles and the like being more ‘alien’ concept to the species, the rate of individuals identifying as trans within the species is much higher than that of other species. The only notable biological differences between the genders that can be seen without scientific tools are their (usually unseen) genitals.
